The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign, which runs from November 25 which is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to December 10th – Human Rights Day, is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world. The international campaign originated from the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute coordinated by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership in 1991.
In Commemoration of the 16 Days Campaign, The WomenSpeak Project will host it’s first Songwriting Workshop on November 25th, 2017 with songwriter and musician, Ruth Osman. The Institute for Gender and Development Studies at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus is partnering with us to host to event.
